Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? We’ve got you covered. Below are answers to the most common
questions about our card cleaning, prep, and grading services.
From the time we receive your cards, it typically takes 1–2 weeks for us to clean, review, and prepare them for submission. Please note this is all dependent on how many cards you send (the more, the longer it takes), and how many cards we already have in queue when we receive yours. We have had an influx of submissions as of late so please be patient as we try to work through all orders in a timely fashion.
Once submitted, PSA Value Bulk service currently takes approximately 95 business days from start to finish.
Please note that turnaround times may vary depending on the selected service level and grading company.
The $12 service includes professional cleaning, expert prep, and a full card review. Grading submission is not included. (Repairs are additional.)
The $37 service includes cleaning, prep, review, and submission to PSA Value Bulk (Cards over $500 may cost more). BGS, SGC, and TAG are available upon request. Turnaround time is approximately 95 business days.
Cards valued over $500 will be priced accordingly. Please note PSA has about 5 or 6 different service levels based on the value of your card and how fast you want to get them back. Please contact us directly for high-value cards so we can provide you with a custom quote based on the specific card and its estimated value.
Great question! So to be completely transparent, we do not keep track of grade rate percentages.
Short answer as to why, we don't always send cards that are perfect!
Please note that grading (especially with PSA) is a very subjective process. It is all done with humans (minus TAG). One grader may see an imperfection and grade tougher or more lenient than the next. An allowance may be made for a slight printing imperfection. So a card that may not be perfect or may have an imperfection may still gem and customers want to send anyways. Sometimes those go in our favor and sometimes they do not. The key point to remember is that the graders reserve the right, based on the strength or weakness of eye appeal, to make a judgment call on the grade of a particular card.
My job is to point out any imperfections ahead of time, potentially try to fix those issues, and then we can decide from there if it is worth grading or not. We will always give you our opinion of what we "think" a card will get and why.
Many customers still decide to send "imperfect" cards for the chance at a 10 or maybe just to get it in a slab and protected.
Yes! We often service cards live on our TikTok channel (@soursportscards). If you'd like to watch us work on your specific cards, let us know when you submit them and we'll try to schedule a live session for your cards.
We currently accept PayPal and Venmo. Zelle upon special request. Payment is typically due once you receive a formal invoice from us, which usually happens right before we submit them for grading.
